Welcome to GTM Genius, I’m Sarah, lead strategist and partner in propelling your startup to market success.
My journey includes a series of strategic wins and leadership roles in growth and product marketing.
At Resolve (B2B SaaS), as the foundational marketing hire, I aligned with the founders to identify a key market segment and executed a go-to-market strategy that solidified Resolve’s market presence and contributed to a $25M Series A funding in 2021.
At MakersHub (B2B SaaS), I was the inaugural revenue team member, my strategic direction and execution increased the customer base from one to 20 active clients in just nine months. I developed every aspect of the go-to-market strategy from website copy to the sales motion.
At Procurify (B2B SaaS), I was the first product marketing hire. I developed processes to enable internal alignment, and launched strategic new products and features.
A diverse marketer
With 20 years of professional experience and 12 directly in bringing products to market – I’ve covered every aspect of marketing. My earlier roles were in B2C as an ecommerce marketing leader. The pressures of ecommerce lead to deep digital marketing expertise, web analytics skills, and conversion rate optimization knowledge.
I think of myself as an ‘M’ shape marketer with depth in product marketing, revenue operations, and demand generation. Bringing a combination of strategy and tactical skills is especially powerful for earlier stage startups; they need both vision and execution in one person.
With a background in science, my methodology is to apply a first principles and data driven approach to all aspects of marketing. In crafting GTM strategies, I immerse myself in understanding the product, conducting detailed customer and market research, tapping into team insights, and aligning with the founders’ vision.
For growth traction I use a prioritization framework to systematically test channels and tactics, conduct lean experiments, and iterate quickly based on results.
